Tree of Life- Let's Go! Photo Heavy from Humble Quilts

One of these was my practice block and it pieced beautifully so I made another one!
My blocks are 16" and that will be what the directions are for.

I could not get my lines in Electric quilt to line up, so I'll be giving you step by step instructions.

We need to make 24 half square triangles.

For my first block I used the easy angle ruler and 2 1/2" strips.

For the second block I ordered triangles on a roll that finish 2",

When making a lot of the same 2 fabrics this is the option ...

Tree of Life 2025 from Humble Quilts

My project for 2025 will be the Tree of Life quilt in red/white.

Here is some inspiration.

Here is my Electric Quilt block.
24 Half Square triangles in each block.

Projects like this that can be very boring (2 color quilts!) take some time. My thought is to  make 2 blocks a month. I still haven't decided if I will use shirtings/muslin or different reds.

What I'm leaning towards is muslin and a variety of reds, but using the same red throughout the block.

If you have a tedious quilt you want to make I find ...

Marvelous Mini Challenge from Sew Preeti Quilts

Island Batik's August Challenge is simple. Make a mini quilt using the fabrics and techniques of your choice in a size not to exceed 24" on any side.

Here is my response #1

Goddess Lakshmi's Feet

It is a simple response to a simple challenge. If you are familiar with Hindu culture, this image needs no explanation. But I want to explain so please humor me.

Goddess Lakshmi is often called the Goddess of Wealth, but that is not entirely correct. She is the Goddess of Prosperity. The difference may seem subtle, but Prosperity includes well-being and happiness ...

Scrap Improv from Elsie Quilts

I've two more quilts for refugees finished and given to them. Story another time, but what a joy to bless people whose stories are mind-bending, even life-changing. They have been through so much, and for years. And I complain if someone cuts me off in traffic.

One quilt that I made a few weeks ago had some tiny pieced rectangles left over. (See that quilt here) As I played with them, this is what came out after adding a couple of fat quarters. It is about 24" wide, not large but fun to make after doing several queen-size monsters ...
